The view from stage is one I will never forget. My precious husband Ashley with tears in his eyes, my mom with pride beaming from her face, and my children so proud of their mommy. Not to mention all of my wonderful family and friends cheering me on. Months I had been preparing for this moment, the moment when I was announced as the 2009 Mrs. North Carolina America! What an honor and blessing to compete with such high caliber women whom I have much respect. I am blessed by the new friendships that were developed that weekend.
